I was pleased to learn about the new plugin functionality that OpenAI recently launched as a ChatGPT customer. I can access internet resources and engage with external web pages using this function without ever leaving the chatbot interface. I was anxious to sign up for the waitlist to gain access to the feature on ChatGPT Plus even though it is still in the test stage and only accessible to a small number of users.
I was happy to learn that the apps are made to be simple to use and user-friendly. I can use the math machine Wolfram for computations and the business messaging tool Slack thanks to the 11 plugins that are currently accessible. E-commerce websites like Shopify, Klarna, and Instacart as well as ticket search engines like Expedia and KAYAK are also allowed. FiscalNote, Milo Family AI, OpenTable, Shop, Speak, and Zapier are a few additional applications.
The capacity of ChatGPT to combine data from various sources to deliver a more well-rounded answer is what most impressed me. It also lists the sites it consulted so I can confirm where the data originated from. The accuracy of the data given by ChatGPT is significantly improved by this function.
The fact that ChatGPT was taught with data only up to September 2021 and lacks internet connectivity means that it has a number of limitations. However, ChatGPT can increase its precision and give users more recent information by utilizing plugins that contact the internet.
Overall, ChatGPT's new module feature has the potential to significantly improve the chatbot's functionality and give users access to more precise and recent information.
